The world can be divided into two, the ones who are called sons and others who are called slaves. When you are called a son or daughter, there is a sense of belonging, a sense of comfort and most importantly the knowledge of who your Father is. On the other hand, a slave is one who is in bondage , one who has no direction of his own but follows the instruction and will of his master. A slave becomes the instrument of his master. While a son abides in his house forever,a slave does not.
When Jesus laid down this distinction, He was aware that people like us would not be ready to accept nor try to understand the truth in it. He was clear and direct when He said, any person who commits sin becomes a slave of sin and anyone who knows Him will know His Father.
One could have a great heritage to talk about,belong to a family with the lineage of priests, deacons and holy men or even before the world be a minister of GOD but the really question within is am I called a son of GOD or a slave of sin. When sin controls of our lives then all our actions are a reflection of the father of lies and your mind is no more yours but owned by satan. On the contrary if you know Jesus, you know who your Father is and darkness flees from you.
The doors are open, the call is clear, know the truth today and the truth will set you free, know who Jesus is and you will know your Father and no more will you be called the slave of sin but sons and daughters of GOD. Take charge of your lives in His name and He will take charge of you.
