The last supper, Jesus had cleansed the feet of his disciples and showed them the strongest principle of servant leadership. In the last 3 years they have seen this man walk the talk of love, hope and salvation. Yet there was one among them, one who was ready to betray and Jesus knew who it was all the time but yet treated him no different than the rest.
As a last resort Jesus offered the bread dipped, as the host and a sign of honor to the guest . Judas accepted it but was determined to complete his plan and it says "He received the piece of bread , he then went out immediately. And it was night" John 13:30
It was night, darkness had fallen upon Judas, he was determined to do evil and continued to pursue the plan. As you step out today , check if you are stepping into the light or into the night , there may be anger, disappointment,selfishness, envy and lies in your heart against your family, friends or co-workers. The longer your pursue the negative thoughts against another the heavier the night will be.
It is time to take a step back , do not hate but love, do not take but give, do not destroy but edify, do not lie but live the truth. If it is night around step back into the room into the bright and warm lights where Jesus and his disciples await you. Step back into the light.
