"Blessed are the meek for they will inherit the earth” Matthew 5:5.
This verse has had tremendous meaning for me in 2015. Our reflection of Christ is not only in terms of what we do in church or at our fellowships but also at our workplace and secular relationships. Across 2015, at work, I was requested to do multiple activities which necessarily do not relate to my core job but each time I was requested, I spoke with GOD and the answer was to be meek, not really understanding what it meant at that time I went forward.
There were days of frustration but I was encouraged to do more not for the sake of my glory but to reflect the person of Christ in what I do. It was a wonderful experience where I learnt a few things which I wanted to share today - :
1. Know Yourself - Knowing who you are is important, because when challenges come, you are sure that they are not breaking you but making you better. I am a child of GOD and so are you.
2. Work with Excellence - Apply yourself, your skills and talents are not to remain in hibernation but to be improved and enhanced every day. Thus when you are given a task, you do it with excellence, learning through the mistakes and growing bolder with the challenge. You work for the Lord not unto men so in excellence please your Master and you will please your earthly boss.
3. Give Him Glory - Submit everyday all that you have to do, not waiting for worldly rewards but knowing that you are giving your Creator glory, all of us are created to reflect His Glory. It is tough to kill self but there is peace in doing so.
So then GOD decided to reward me through man and was awarded the Channel Specialist of the year in SAP MENA for 2015, surprised and humbled, I testify my GOD's greatness in all He does through me. As a final word I encourage you all to be truthful to your work on earth, do not fall for shortcuts but be honest, strong and meek in all you do. GOD BLESS. AMEN
