The LORD told me, "Conspiracy has been found among the people of Judah and the residents of Jerusalem. Jeremiah 11:9 ISV
“Conspiracy”, the word means “an evil, unlawful, treacherous or surreptitious plan formulated in secret by two or more persons”, or a plot (www.dictionary.com). All the meanings provided around the word conspiracy have one thing in common, the involvement of two people.
GOD calls out to His people exhorting them to obey His voice (Jer 11:7), yet they did not, their hearts were cold and filled with evil, they had turned away from GOD. They got together and built plans on how to work against GOD. This is when our Lord says, “a conspiracy has been found among them”.
This made me think, are we hatching conspiracies against GOD today, who are we conspiring with and what is our involvement. A conspiracy needs two people, one has to be me and the other……the Devil, so naturally the conspiracy I make against GOD is a plan hatched between the Devil and me. How painful would that be for our GOD? Looking at the bigger picture, it could mean that all of us as one person and the Devil are conspiring against GOD. We do this through our lustful living, pride filled hearts and arrogant minds. We walk with the devil, when our hearts turn cold against the true and pure love that our Lord has for us, we conspire against GOD.
It looks like we are all criminals in one way or the other. The world is moving away from GOD, what we do to change ….
- Make a choice today to “Shut the Door and Keep the Devil out”
- Hold on to Jesus, He is our Saviour, let’s love Him with all our heart, mind and strength.
- Be Inspired by Jesus to fight the devil.
- Use the power of the Holy Spirit to speak against the devil.
- Worship our GOD in Truth and Spirit and the devil will flee.
We are in a battle, a battle between good and evil and we need to make a choice, stand up for Jesus, be bold for Jesus and we will win. The secrets of His Word will fill us with power to fight, so stop for a minute, open your mouth, Praise, Sing, Shout for the Lord and the devil will disappear. Hallelujah!!
