It’s the first day of the week and it starts with a storm of questions, how will my week go? , How will the interview turn out? , How will my meetings go? , How will my boss and colleagues treat me this week? , Are my kids going to be safe out there, Will I come home broken and beaten? Will my friends still like me, if I say no? Will my children listen to what I say? , Does she still love me? , Will this sickness leave me? , and the questions keep going on till your heart stops beating and your head stops working. You are diagnosed with "paralysis by analysis", in other words the common alignment known as "Fear".
Fear is a disease that has no age limit and travels through the span of our lives, it does not leave anyone, it covers our thoughts, ambitions and aspirations, leaving us completely dependent on its mercy. When it takes over the life of a child of GOD, 3 things happen - :
1. We do not trust GOD anymore
2. We tend to disobey GOD
3. We take matters into our own hand
The above 3 things do not remove fear but tend to increase fear in our lives. Mental and Spiritual fear takes us down a path of destruction and brokenness. The solution to this has been out there from the beginning of time but has been lost in the sin and darkness of the life of men.
When GOD promises to fight for us in every situation, to uphold us in every disaster, to heal us through every sickness, to lead us in every doubt, we need to trust HIM. This trust can come only by knowing who GOD is. When a child holds his father's hand, he is not worried if the road is slippery or firm, he is sure he will not fall for he knows his father and trusts him to take him across to the other side.
So know who GOD is, taste His love and then you will feel and know the strength needed to take you across the hurdles of life. So, as you go through this week, know who GOD was, is and will always be. "Fear Not!" for HE is always with you.
