I have always loved taking photos and admired great photographers. Beautiful photos tell us stories about the subjects in them, the people, the surroundings and the intention of the photographer. The most important ingredient of a photo is the light and if the light is bad, the photo would not be at its best.
Light helps the viewer of the photo to see things clearly and appreciate the artistic impression of the photographer. Now, consider our lives as a series of photos taken in different situations , the light becomes an integral part of it. In the photo, we are not the light, we are a reflection of the light and subject of the photographer, so if I were to take this further, if God is the creator of the photos of our lives , then Jesus becomes the light of our photos.
The question I would ask myself today is, how good is the light in the photos of my life?, is Jesus reflected through them?, does He shine through and bring comfort to others around me?, do I reflect His light?.
Photos are memories and reflections of our lives, so when we are out there in the world, remember photos are being taken, the light is around you and within you, shine and allow people to see Jesus in the light that surrounds you.
