Many of us could relate to the sentences above . When the burdens of hurt , negligence and disappointment weigh upon our heart we will find it difficult to see the difference between the good and bad in others. We become depressed , frustrated and broken, our lives becomes a dark alley filled with strange people and strange things.
Now if we were to overlook these things and focus on the hope of tomorrow, if we were to forgive and forget , allowing GOD to be the authority of vengeance over all that has been done to us, I am sure we would all sleep better and that is what we need , gave it up to HIM.
It takes time to find peace in the hurt around us but we can do it and we need to focus on three things to get through it -:
1. Whose am I ? - Understand who owns you , is it your unstable emotions or the GOD who created the universe , who send His only Son , Jesus to die for you. Understand and believe you belong to HIM and give yourself into HIS arms, You are His.
2. Who am I? - Know yourself,know that you are created in the image of GOD, to reflect the characteristics of His Son in your life. You are unique and created with a purpose, for all you do is for His name to be glorified.Whatever anyone says or does to you, remember you are the child of GOD made with a definite purpose and plan.
3.Pray for them - Pray for all those who have hurt and worked against you. Pray for yourself to be humble and acknowledge mistakes on your side and seek forgiveness. Pray that there will be understanding and peace and trust in GOD's act of justice for you and against you.
A man's glory is the ability to overlook the transgression of another just like GOD overlooks ours. As you step into a new day , overlook the gossip, slander and hurt others have caused you and pray for peace among each other, for we are owned by a wonderful GOD and created in His image.
Overlook the transgressions of others so GOD may overlook yours.
