It would be around 23 years ago, after a beautiful encounter with Christ in a teens camp that I asked God , what would you really want me to do for You, how can I give myself up for You so that I may used for your purpose , is it being a priest, a full time missionary or a worship servant , what would it be.
I did not get a clear answer but each time I prayed the one word that kept popping up was "Jesus Inspires".
I searched the Bible to see if this word was written and what could be the context. It wasn't there and there were was no clarity on why God would put this word in my mind. I spent weeks thinking and praying over this till He brought into my heart the following-:
Jesus Inspires you to live a Holy life
Jesus Inspires you to be merciful
Jesus Inspires you to be faithful
Jesus Inspires you to be gracious
Jesus Inspires you to serve
Jesus Inspires you to love
Jesus Inspires you to please God
Jesus Inspires you to be more like Him
Jesus Inspires you to inspire others to be like Him
So "Jesus Inspires" was no more just a word, or a religion or a theological statement it became the embodiment of the life of one man who gave His life for us so that we may be saved and lead others to be saved. This clarity helped me pursue a life that would be Inspired by Jesus and inspire others to follow Jesus.
Today when I look back and look forward at the same time , there has not been a single area where this word has not affected my life. Through music with Life4orce (thank you to Mathews George Vinay George,Cherry N Sara Cherian,Jean George & Binny) Rapture ( thank you to Nibin Oommen,Roshan Kurien Ajith Abraham Renzyl Kurien Rajiv Thomas,Jikku Philip,Yohan Abey Joseph,Tom Philip,Pradeep Eapen Thomas Sam John Arun George,Dano Cherison and Jose Philip) and Philip, George and Thomas. Through my work life in SAP and Leadonn and through my family this word has constantly been a guide leading me back to Him. I have failed Him many a times and still do, but this word that God showed me 23 years back still leads me and the relationship I have with Him and His people.
I am sure God must have given you an idea , a word or a thought , don't keep it hidden, pursue what He wants you to do through it. There will be obstacles and burdens but with Him everything is possible. "Jesus Inspires" is no more just a word for me, it is my life in Him in spite all the imperfections in me. Let's continue to pray for each other for there is so much more to do.
