Hos 5:14 -15 For I will be to Ephraim as a lion, and as a strong lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear and go away. I will take away, and none shall rescue him. I will go; I will return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will seek Me diligently. (MKJV)
Sin separates us from GOD and there reaches a point in our lives when sin over powers our love and passion for GOD. The cry of the Holy Spirit to change our ways cannot be heard, the guilt of sin that separates us from GOD becomes a pleasure and no more a pain. GOD becomes a fact visible but invisible in our sins, we walk away from GOD.
GOD walks away too but not silently, like a lion He tears and goes away, He takes everything away and none can rescue us but GOD. All the satisfaction and comfort we had in our sins become weak and broken, we try holding on to them thinking they will bring us back to semblance again, they can’t.
GOD loves us because He chose to love us first, HE called us and we responded by committing our lives to HIM and He cannot let us go, in spite of the sin we have done against HIM, He still loves us so much that HE has to put us through an affliction that will turn our hearts back to HIM.
In this affliction we will confess our guilt and seek His face and then GOD returns from HIS place to be in our place to fight for us against the evils of the world, the plans of the devil and the plots of man. GOD becomes our victory and as we walk with HIM we grow in the process of sanctification.
GOD does not want to bring afflictions in our lives. When we move to far away and live without confessing and redeeming ourselves , GOD has to shake us up to help us realign our compass with GOD’s. Rejoice! for He will anything to get us back to HIM.
Our GOD has an unfailing love for us; let us have the same for HIM. Let us Seek Him!
